WOA SECOND HOME 〰️
Workers of Art’s studio, conceived as the WOA Second Home, reflects the practice’s commitment to research-led, human-centered design.
Developed using construction and building materials typically relegated to landfills and reinterpreting them into architectural details, the project positions reuse not as an aesthetic gesture but as a design methodology.
This approach—where material ethics, spatial flexibility, and everyday use converge—led to the studio being the only Indian practice longlisted and subsequently shortlisted for the Dezeen Awards in London in 2023, placing the project within a broader global conversation on sustainable and evolving workspaces.

Making of the WOA Third Space.
Third Space is a 4,000-square-foot addition to our studio, conceived as a site for research, experimentation, and collective thinking. Where the WOA Second Home established the studio as a place of daily practice, the WOA Third Space extends it into a more relaxed, exploratory environment—one that deliberately blurs the boundaries between home, office, and third space. It reflects a broader shift in how work happens today, where collaboration, research, and rest coexist rather than compete. As an internal testbed, the WOA Third Space is both a working environment and a theoretical proposition: that better work emerges from spaces designed for curiosity, flexibility, and shared experiences.
